Holistic Medicine

Holistic medicine focuses on the whole body, which is made of interdependent components. Holistic veterinary medicine is concerned with the connection between the physical, mental, and spiritual health of pets and their environment. It supports the whole animal’s ability to self-heal and prevent disease rather than focusing on treating specific symptoms of disease. It uses alternative and complementary diagnostic and therapeutic modalities, e.g., acupuncture, herbal medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, food therapy, IV (intravenous) vitamin therapy, chiropractic medicine, laser therapy, and nutraceuticals. This does not mean that science and modern treatments including drugs and vaccinations are neglected or replaced, rather these are integrated appropriately with holistic treatments to provide more comprehensive and personalized care.

Here at Wise and Wonderful we believe that fear-free and integrative medical philosophies and practices help you pets live healthier, happier, and longer lives.
